When you are forgiving an enemy, remember if God will forgive them and He will also forgive you, why shouldn’t you forgive your enemy? Let’s work hard on this, as it is no easy task. We are trusting God will take care of the issue and leaving it at that. It means that we are accepting what happened and letting it go. Just because we forgive someone doesn’t mean we put ourselves back in the same situation. However, when we forgive our enemies it is important that we are careful moving forward. Therefore, we should forgive our enemies. God forgives them and God has asked us to be forgiving. Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”įorgiving Your Enemy What if we are forgiving an enemy? Someone has back-stabbed you, disrespected you, cheated on you, or something else how would we forgive these people? Well, the same thing applies. As we forgive ourselves, it is important that we ask for God’s forgiveness. If God has forgiven us, why shouldn’t we forgive ourselves? No matter what you have been through, God’s word still applies to you. God has forgiven us for every sin or mistake we have made. So, why are some people able to forgive themselves much easier than others? For us, forgiveness has become easier because we know we are forgiven. This is because we set a higher standard for ourselves and as we grow, we realize what we have done was a mistake. When we try to forgive ourselves, it is a lot harder. And ( Q)who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many, ( R)peddling the word of God but as ( S)of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.Forgiving Yourself Forgiveness can be one of the hardest things to do when you are growing. 16 ( P)To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ ( N)among those who are being saved and ( O)among those who are perishing.
